Switch Android network modes (5G / 4G / 3G / 2G) without root
Android hides most network-mode choices, and carrier menus often remove them. On Android 15 the radio can be constrained with the telephony shell command cmd phone set-allowed-network-types-for-users, which takes a bitmask of allowed network types.
NetGuard
- Sixteen one-tap presets: 5G, 4G LTE, 5G+4G, several mixed combinations, IWLAN (Wi-Fi calling) and LTE carrier aggregation.
- Custom bitmask entry for your own combination.
- Signal and carrier diagnostics and a built-in Shizuku shell.
- Built on Android 15 behavior; tested on a Moto G Power 5G (2024).
NetGuard is FREE, or included in the FREE bundle with Pro+. Which modes actually apply depends on your carrier and modem; some phones ignore combinations their firmware does not support.
